KARACHl: A woman suffered burns in an acid attack in Korangi Industrial Area on Saturday, police said.

They said Shahnaz Bibi, 46, was hurt when he husband, Tariq, allegedly threw acid on her over some family dispute in Mohammed Khan Goth.

The injured woman was shifted to the Burns Centre of Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.

The police said that the suspect was arrested and further investigation was under way.
