RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Police have established a state-of-theart driving school at Chandni Chowk with an aim to teach people principles of safe driving.

A spokesman for the city traffic police said that this initiative is part of the vision of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Beenish Fatima, under which the public is being provided with better travel facilities and road safety awareness.

Practical training will be provided by professional instructors in the new driving school so that citizens can fully master the principles of safe driving. Along withthis, the process of obtaining a driving license is being simplified so that citizens can obtain a driving licence legally without any additional difficulty.

He said that this driving school has been established with the idea that citizens can be saved from travel difficulties and better awareness of traffic rules can be provided.

Through the new driving school, male and female drivers will be provided complete guidance on traffic rules, road safety and safe driving principles.

On this occasion, CTO Beenish Fatima said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to travel safely and drive within the bounds of the law. Theaim of establishing this driving school is to train citizens with professional skills and help prevent accidents.

Citizens wishing to enroll in Chandni Chowk Driving School should complete their registration as soon as possible so that they can receive practical training in modern and safe driving, said the spokesman.

This initiative of the traffic police will not only lead to a reduction in accidents but will also improve the traffic system of Rawalpindi. City Traffic Police Rawalpindi will continue its efforts to facilitate the public and promote safe driving so that the best travel facilities can be provided to citizens.Meanwhile, the city traffic police have constituted five special police squads to check wheelie during Ramazan and deployed 60 traffic police officials to check the menace.

Police spokesman said that five special police squads, comprising seven DSPs, seven senior traffic wardens and 49 traffic wardens and traffic assistants who will perform their duty from 4am to 7am and after iftar to lam.

As part of the preventive measures, special police check points will also be established on main roads to check the stunt.

Traffic wardens have also been deployed around mosques during Taraveeh and prayers time.
