OKARA: A Dipalpur additional district and sessions judge sentenced a drug peddler to 10 years in prison along with a fine of Rs100,000 on Tuesday.

The Basirpur patrolling police had arrested Qurban Ali in the first week of June 2024 andregistered a case under Section 9-(1)3c of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act 1997 after recovering 2.86kg of charas from him.

The court found Qurban Ali guilty and sentenced him to 10 years` imprisonment along with a fine of Rs100,000. He was sent to the district jail in Okara to serve his sentence.
