Things would definitely have changed in our country if Spiderman or Batman had taken part in the general election! But this is becoming true kind of in Ukraine where Star Wars` villain Darth Vader is taking part as one of the candidates for presidential election! Ukraine is holding presidential elections on May 25 in which more than a dozen can-didates will s t a n d , including the Sith Lord, chosen as the official candidate of the Ukrainian Internet Party (UIP).

The unnamedman in the Darth Vader costume, flanked by supporters in Imperial Stormtrooper and Chewbacca costumes, announced his intention to run with the words, `I alone can make an empire out of a republic, to restore former glory, to return lost territories and pride for this country.

And according to media reports, he has previously been involved in political stunts and has even demanded a plot of land in the city to park his space ship!•
