The first 24-hour `Cupcake ATM` by Sprinkles Cupcake Bakery opened in New York City, on Lexington Avenue in the Upper East Side. The vending machine is adjacent to the store and is stocked with fresh cupcakes all day. People canselect the flavour and the quantity with just a swipe of a credit card.

The idea for instant cupcakes came 9 to the Sprinkles co-founder Candace when she had cravings for something sweet in the middle of the night and she then thought of a way to satisfy sweet cravings 24/7.
