KASUR: A worker was shot dead by robbers on Tuesday while returning home with his co-workers on a motorcycle after completing their shift at a local factory.

The incident occurred on Hindal Road in the village of Marali within the jurisdiction of Kot Radha Kishan police.

The robbers had picketed the road and already robbed several motorcycle riders before intercepting Ramzan Masih and his companions -Shaukat Masih and Nazir Masih.

When the robbers signalledRamzan to stop, he did not comply and one of the robbers opened fire, killing him instantly.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

The robbers fled with the booty.

The police shifted the body to the THQ Hospital for an autopsy and started looking into the matter.

Also, four robbers in a car deprived Haseeb of his cash and a mobile phone in the limits of the Saddar police station on Tuesday on Dipalpur Road near the bypass.

The same gang intercepted Abid Ali near village Noorpur and took away cash and a mobilephone from him.

The police are looking into the cases.

HELD: The Mandi Usmanwala police arrested two injured robbers who were allegedly wounded by their accomplices while firing atthe police at a picketline.

The police received information from Muhammad Fiaz, a motorcycle rider who reported that four gunmen had robbed him at gunpoint, snatching his motorcycle and other valuables on Garaywala Road.

Responding to the call, the police set up a picket, and when the robbers saw them, they opened fire and fled. Despite thebandits escaping under the cover of darkness, police managed to chase and catch two of the robbers in injured condition. The police recovered the snatched motorcycle and other valuables from them. However, the other two accomplices of the robbers escaped.

The injured robbers were identified as Saqib and Sajid, who were wanted by Kasur police for over 40 cases of robbery, house dacoity, and encounters with the police.

Police investigations are currently underway to further identify and capture the remaining robbers involved in this incident.
