L AHORE: The bodies of two Pakistanis who lost their lives in a boat tragedy, off the coast of Libya, last month were brought here on Sunday.

The victims were identified as Sufyan and Nadeem Ahmed, both residents of Gujranwala. Their bodies were received by State Minister for Public Affairs Rana Mubashir Hussain and member of Punjab Assembly Mian Imran Javed at the Lahore airport.

Later, the bodies were handed over to their families.

The accident occurred during the night between April 12 and 13, when a migrant boat capsized near Libya`s eastern coast of Harawa while trying to reach Europe.

Last week, the bodies of six other victims of the Libya boat tragedy were repatriated to Pakistan.
