PESHAWAR: All Primary Teachers Association provincial president Azizullah Khan has demanded of the government to allocate funds for upgradation of teachers in the upcoming budget otherwise they would be forced to start agitation for it.
He was chairing a meeting of All Primary Schools Teachers Association here. The meeting was attended by association district presidents, general secretaries, chairman and provincial office-bearers of.
Azizullah Khan told the meetingthat primary teachers ran enrolment campaign, made it successful and met the target every year, but they were always ignored by the government.
He said that primary schools with better enrolment performance should be awarded appreciation certificates to encourage teachers.
He said that primary schools were short oftextbooks.
He demanded of the government to provide books to primary schools immediately.
He demanded of the chief minister to take notice of the long awaited upgradation issue of primary schoolteachers and ensure its inclusion in the upcoming budget.
