PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formally approved construction of two-level flyover at Phase-Ill square of Hayatabad-Jamrud Road that is named as Bab-i-Peshawar (gateway of Peshawar).

The local government depanment has awarded the contract of this mega project to the National Logistic Cell. An agreement to this effect has also been signed between the Peshawar Development Authority and NLC wherein the latter will construct this flyover in three months.

Local Government and Rural Development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, secretary Jamil Ahmad in a meeting at the LG Secretariat here on Thursday directed the NLC for early completion of this project, says an official statement. He said that this modern flyover at the confluence of Hayatabad, Karkhano Market, industrial estate and Regi Lalma Township would greatly contribute to easing traffic on this busy road and would also help in accelerating industrial and economic activities in the region.-Bureau Report
