RAWALPINDI: Six flights were cancelled at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Sunday due to poor load.
The flights included Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) PK-373 from Islamabad to Karachi, PK-369 from Islamabad to Karachi, PK-233 from Islamabad to Dubai and PK-368 from Karachi to Islamabad.
A private airline’s flights, PA-201 from Islamabad to Karachi and PA-200 from Karachi to Islamabad, were also cancelled.
A PIA spokesperson said the airline’s flights were cancelled for “commercial reasons” – i.e. fewer passengers – and suggested the situation would improve in the middle of Ramazan, when there is a higher passenger response.
He said the PIA refunds passengers when flights are cancelled for commercial reasons or adjusts them on other flights.
