JuD to remember Kashmir martyrs

LAHORE: The Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) will observe the countrywide Youm-iShuhada (martyrs day) of Kashmir on Friday, which will include conferences, rallies and demonstrations from July 7 to 19.

According to a press release of the JuD, during the next two weeks many programmes, highlighting sacrifices of the Kashmiris, would be held across the country and in Azad Kashmir. On July 8, the JuD will participate in a programme held by the United Jihad Council in Muzaffarabad.

In Islamabad, the S huh a d a -i-K a s h m i r Conference will be arranged on July 16. A public gathering will be held in Lahore on July 19 on the occasion of `Accession to Pakistan Day.` National, political, religious and Kashmiri leadership will attend the programmes.

These decisions were made during the meeting of the JuD chaired by JuD political affairs head Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki.

Central, zonal and district representatives of the JuD participated in the meeting. Mr Makki said that Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and other JuD leaders were detained for observing year 2017 for the Kashmiris. He accused India and the US of suppressing each and every voice raised in favour of the Kashmiris`right of selfdetermination.

He told the participants that the purpose of holding such programmes was to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris.

`Whole Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiris brethren,` he said.
