SWABI: Four officials of the revenue department who were found involved in corruption and forgery were dismissed from service by Swabi deputy commissioner on Friday.

The district administration sources said that the DC office had received complaints against three patwaris and a naib qasid of the revenue department and an enquiry was initiated against them, few weeks earlier.

The enquiry team submitted its report to the DC wherein the said offi-cials were guilty, therefore, they were dismissed from the service with immediate effect, said the sources, adding that the letters of dismissal had been dispatched to them.

The three dismissed patwaris included Javed Khan, Niaz Sarwar and Syed Noor Ali Shah and naib qasid Ansar Iqbal.

When contacted DC Nasarullah told Dawn `The dismissal orders were signed in the morning. We have zero tolerance for corrupt practices, and anyone found indulging in such practices will face the same treatment.
