PML-N mobilising cadre for Sunday show

LAHORE: The ruling PML-N has mobilised its cadre for giving a befitting reception to its leader, Nawaz Sharif, who is arriving to his hometown on Sunday after his disqualification by the Supreme Court on July 28.

Each MNA and MPA from the city is holding multiple corner meetings in their constituencies, while local body members are going door-to-door to motivate the party workers to attend the rally.

Leaders of labour, youth, women, ulema, lawyers and other wings of the party have also been directed to gather maximum people for making the reception a power show of the party and Mr Sharif.

The proposed route from Babu Sabu interchange of motorway to the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri has been divided into six sections with each section allocated to certain constituencies.

Activists, led by parliamentariansfrom constituencies NA-121, 126 and 128 and Punjab Assembly seats falling under these areas, will receive Mr Sharif at Babu Sabu interchange.

Those from constituency NA-122 and led by Education Minister Rana Mashhood will receive their leader at Gulshan-i-Ravi point on Bund Road.

A third reception camp will be set up on Outfall Road, where newlyappointed federal minister Pervaiz Malik and MNA Rohail Asghar along with workers will show solidarity with Mr Sharif.

The elected representatives from NA-118 and 125 will receive the former prime minister at Niazi Chowk, while the fifth point will be set up at Azadi Chowk where activists from NA-130 will join the procession.

The sixth and last reception camp will be at Bhati Chowk where MPs and workers from NA-119, 120 (Mr Sharif`s constituency) and 127 will receive Mr Sharif and accompany him up to the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri.
