Muggers injure watchman

LAHORE: Muggers injured a watchman and looted cash and valuables worth Rs2.19 million during five major strikes in the provincial capital on Thursday.
Four robbers entered the towers of a mobile phone company in the Defence Housing Authority in Defence-C police remit and looted batteries and accessories worth Rs350,000.
Before their escape on a truck,they also thrashed guard Rang Ali who was admitted to a hospital with an arm fracture.
Three robbers entered a private hostel in Fareed Town in Raiwind City police limits and took away Rs590,000 from Baqir, his friends and other occupants.
Two armed men barged in the house of Fraz in L-Block of the DHA in Defence B police remit and escaped after looting cash and valuables all worth Rs350,000.
Some robbers stormed into the house of Sajid Munir in NFCHousing Society in Sattokatla police limits and took away cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs500,000.
Some robbers burst into the house of Waseem in D-Block of Sabzazar and made off with cash and valuables worth Rs400,000.
STABBED: A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death allegedly by unknown attackers in National Park, Islampura, early on Thursday.
Police inquiries showed that Salman, son of Ghulam Muhammad, left home around 9pmon Wednesday, but didn`t return.
Around 12 midnight, he was spotted dead by some locals near his house and the family was alerted.
A police official said the victim was apparently kidnapped by unknown suspects who attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and escaped after throwing his body near his residence.
He said the family had not nominated anyone in the FIR, adding the motive behind the killing and identities of the suspects were still unknown.
