Pro-govt NAB head to enhance corruption, warns Tareen

RAHIM YAR KHAN: If the new head of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is to be appointed as per the government`s will, it is going to have a negative impact on the country and enhancecorrupdon.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf secretary general Jahangir Khan Tareen said this during a meeting with district leaders of the party at the residence of its south Punjab vice president Zafar Iqbal WarraichhereonWednesday.
He said south Punjab had been neglected for last 70 years and its people were deprived of their rights, pledging that the PTI would compensate them for this loss af ter coming into power.
Mr Tareen condemned change in election law formaking a disqualified person (Nawaz Sharif)head of a party (PML-N) again. He added it was unfair to the democracy in the country and the PTI would challenge it in court.
Meanwhile, PTI`s former district information secretary Rana Qamar Uzzaman deplored that only the wealthy were allowed by Mr Warraich to meet Mr Tareen.
He alleged that former presidents and general secretaries of four tehsils, besides the party`s youth wing leaders and workers were stopped outside Warriach`s residence and barred from meeting Tareen.
Later, Tareen went to Sadigabad where transporter Chaudhry Sajjad Warraich and businessman Rana Salman announced joining the PTI.
