Man shot dead on way to court

SARGODHA: A man was allegedly shot dead by his rivals when he was coming to sessions courts at Bhalwal for appearance in a murder case on Wednesday.

According to police, Shiraz, aresidentofMauzaMalkowal in Rakh Chargah area of Bhera, was coming to session courts in Bhalwal, along with his companions for appearing in a murder case, when his opponents opened fire on him near Chak 13, Rajgan, and escaped. As a result, Shiraz was critically injured and died on the spot. The police took custody of the body and shifted it to Bhalwal Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for the postmortem examination.

RAPED: A widowwasraped by a vagabond, while two married women and a minor girl were abducted in separate incidents in the district.

According to police, a suspect forcibly entered the house of a widow and escaped after raping her in a city locality. Meanwhile, two married woman were abducted in Chak 66 NB and in Hameed Town, respectively.

Similarly, in Chak 87 SB,a suspect, Adnan, kidnapped a 14-year-old girl (F). The police have registered separate cases and started investigations.

FORGERY CASE: Additional District and Sessions Judge (AD&SJ) Muhammad Ijazhas ordered the police to register a case against a forger who allegedly sold a piece ofland to a man through a fake agreement.In his complaint filed to the AD&SJ`s court, Tahirul Hassan stated that his friend Mukhtarul Hasan allegedly sold a piece of land measuring nine kanals and 11 marlas in Chak 37-SB and received Rs3.7 million from him.

However, he said that later it transpired that the suspect had used a fake sale deed and deprivedhim of the amount fraudulently.

The complainant said that he reported the matter to police, but instead of taking action against the fraudster, they are forcing him to reconcile with the accused.The judge ordered the Cantonment police to register a case against the accused. Correspondent
