PESHAWAR, Nov 4: With the start of winter number of patients suffering from asthma and chest related diseases is on rise.
Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health department spokesman Professor Mukhtar Zaman said that patients suffering from asthma were likely to have severe attacks due to falling temperature in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern areas of the province.
He said that asthma could attack people of any age group and was not restricted to childhood or old age.
However, he went on to add that cold weather and environmental pollution had multiplied the number of patients suffering from asthma and other chest and respiratory diseases. Dr Mukhtar advised people to keep themselves warm and consult their doctors to avoid unnecessary problems.-APP
