PESHAWAR, Nov 4: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced public holiday on 1st Muharram in the province.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak here on Monday.Following the announcement, there will be public holiday on 1st Muharram every year as being the first day of the Islamic calendar.

The provincial cabinet also seconded the decision, according to a handout.-Bureau Report
