Police asked to eradicate crime

ISLAMABAD: SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani on Friday asked every official to devise comprehensive strategy to eradicate crime by using official resources effectively.

He was chairing a meeting at Rescue-15 of fice,which was attended by SP (City) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, SP (Saddar) Zeeshan Haider, SubDivisional Police Officers, DSPs Security, CIA and SHOs of all police stations.

He said that disciplinary action would be initiated against police officials and SHOs if they were found sluggish towards resolving public complaint s.

Mr Kiani said that policing should be made more objective and various steps like patrolling should be enhanced. He directed all SHOs to launch massive crackdown on proclaimed of fenders and those involved in criminal activities in their respective areas.

Arrest of criminalsinvolved in such heinous crimes must be ensured, he maintained.

He said an effective strategy was vital to control crime and also ordered to adopt a professional as well as responsible attitude to mitigate the sufferings of the people.

He directed to focus on resolving the public complaints, and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens besides inculcating friendly police ecology in the city.

He directed all SHOs to curb street crime and bike as well car lifting.

He said police officials responsible for the delay in registration of cases, slow investigation or corruption would not be spared and strict disciplinary action would be taken against them. Staff Reporter
