Apropos a news item published in metro section of Dawn on November 4 under the headline, `Capital and Punjab police leave Nisar`s darbar unhappy`, the interior ministry spokesperson has said that neither the Islamabad police were neglected by the minister nor did they `sit disgruntled at the darbar`.

He said besides announcing rewards for FC, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had also announced cash reward of Rs50,000 each for all police officials who faced the armed group at Hazro and Pathar Garh.

The spokesperson also contradicted a statement that `the idea of the minister awarding the Islamabad police personnel was dropped after some officers expressed reservation over the selected lot`.
