KHAIRPUR: Shah Abdul Latif University (Salu) has appointed Waqar Hussain Shah Latifi, the 12th custodian of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai`s shrine, as honorary director of L atif Chair at the university.

Salu Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah said in a statement issued on Saturday that she hoped Mr Latifi, who was a renowned scholar and exponent of Sufism, would help the chair in research on various aspects of the life and teachings of Bhitai, his poetry, mysticism and humanism.-Correspondent
