SARGODHA: A man in Bhalwal allegedly strangled his wife, claiming to her family that she had died from electrocution.
The truth emerged during funeral preparations when signs of strangulation were noticed.
Bhalwal City police stated that Faisal Naveed, a resident of Chak 14-SB, allegedly killed his wife, Kainaat, in an honour-related incident.
The deceased`s maternal uncle informed the police that a woman preparing the body for burial discovered marks around her neck, indicating she had been strangled.
Bhalwal police have registered a case under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched an investigation.
