LAHORE: Three policemen escaped unhun when an alleged robber fired five shots on them from a very close range during a chase in the wake of a street crime incident at Harbanspura.

A video footage on social media shows the bravery of ASI Imran and constables Asghar and Sabir.

It showed them challenging three suspected armed robbers at a busiest road when the armed criminals reached there on a car to commit crime.

The footage funher showed as soon as the policemen tried to overpower the suspects to prevent robbery, one of them fired a shot on them.

Taking risk of life, the ASI and his colleagues chased the suspects when they tried to escape taking advantage of traffic rush.

Meanwhile, the suspects fired four more shots on the policemen who remained luckily unhurt, according to the footage.

They later managed to capture one of the fleeing robbers who was later identified as Sunny, a resident of Kahna.

Cantt Division SP (Operations) Furqan Bilal lauded the efforts of the policemen saying that a team has been dispatched for the arrest of two other accomplices who had fled the scene.
