KARAK: An amount of Rs170 million has been approved for construction of a girls degree college in Latamber and work on the project will begin next week, claims MPA Malik Zafar Azam.
Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, he said the people of Latamber had long been demanding the girls college. He further said Rs310 million had been approved for a four kilometre stretch of road from Warana to Indus Highway and from there to Siraj Baba, Dagar Kalay and Madaki.
MPA Zafar Azam said Rs20 million would be spent on construction of a two and a half kilometres road from Ahmabad to the Indus highway. He claimed that Rs5.2million had been approved for a road project from Indus to Seerak Banda,and Rs10 million for a road from Hamidan to Anzar Mor.
He said funds would be approved for RehmatabadSurdag Road from the production bonus funds. He said road from Indus highway to Takht-i-Nusrati would also be reconstructed.
The lawmaker said all the remote areas would be connected through a network of roads to facilitate the people of far-flung areas.
He said Kohat division had Rs9.54billionliabilitiesofoil and gas royalty funds against the provincial government and that they planned to hold grand jirga of elected leadership to decide future course of action.Correspondent
