While unemployment is rampant in Sindh, political appointments and those based on nepotism are in full swing. Recently, thousands of jobs, from BPS-1 to 5, were announced in various public institutions, but all the jobs were given on a political basis. Similarly, hundreds of posts were created due to the expansion of the Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical Sciences, Sehwan, for which many locals had applied, but none was recruited as per the relevant criterion. The government needs to look into the matter.
