Passenger held with fake documents

TOBA TEK SINGH: During screening of passengers at Faisalabad airport, FIA immigration staff arrested a Greecebound passenger for travelling on fake documents.

An FIA official said Muhammad Shahzad Asim produced an invalid resident card of Greece while stamps on his passport were also found bogus as there was no record of stamps in the Integrated Border Management System and his travel record in it.

During initial investigation, the accused disclosed that he had paid Rs3.5 million through three agents for preparation offake traveldocuments. The accused was handed over to the anti-human trafficking cell for further investigation.

CAR OVERTURNS: Three car riders were seriously injured after their car overturned on motorway M-4 near Faisalabad Interchange on Wednesday.

The accident took place when one of the tyres was burst.

The injured persons identified as Tanweer Ahmad, Sahil Ali andNawaz were shifted to Allied Hospital.

Meanwhile, an eightyear-old boy succumbed to his injuries in Allied Hospital on Wednesday.

Yousaf was run over by a car in the locality of Eden Garden on Canal Road some three days ago.

SEMINAR: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) arranged a rally and a seminar on Wednesday to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The rally was led by Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Sarwar Khan who also addressed a seminar and urged the United Nations to settle the Kashmir issue as soon as possible.

He slammed Indian oppression in India-held Kashmir which is a clear violation of international laws.

A seminar was also held in Faisalabad Municipal Corporation hall with DC retired Capt Nadeem Nasir in the chair.
