LAHORE: A special judge (central) on Saturday ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to put property of Asim Malik and his wife, owners of a ‘visa consultancy’ firm, for auction to pay back to over 100 people their money plundered by the firm for sending them abroad.
The judge directed the FIA to start process for the auction of 102 kanal land in Bhalwal, owned by the couple, and submit a report by March 19. In this case, the FIA had already returned looted money to 100 affected people by auctioning property of the suspects, who were declared proclaimed offenders. — Staff Reporter
