Construction work on the 200-bed Mother and Child Hospital in Asghar Mall worth Rs9 billion was stopped by the federal government while PTl leaders termed it `political victimisation`.
A senior official of the district administration told Dawn that work on the hospital was carried out by the federal government but it was stopped due to non-release of funds.
