UMERKOT: A group of armed men attacked residence of a lawyer Parshottam Khatri and his brother and fired at the building to harass the inmates on Wednesday.

The lawyer’s brother Jai Kumar Khatri, a journalist, filed an FIR at City police station and said the assailants whom he identified as Sameer, Muzammil, Shabbir, Abdul Rauf, and eight or ten unidentified men, attacked his residence near Asha market in Umerkot.

The armed men besieged the house, locked main gate from outside and fired straight at the house, which terrified the inmates, said the FIR.—Correspondent
