Three including two brothers die on road in Swat, Shangla

SWAT/SHANGLA: Three persons, including two brothers, were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents on Wednesday, the police and rescue officials said.
Two members of a family were killed and one was critically injured after the car they were travelling in plunged into a ravine in Shigrai area of Manglawar on Wednesday, Manglawar police station officials said.
“The car fell into a deep ravine after it went out of the driver’s control. Two brothers, including Inayat and Murad Khan, residents of Shingrai, died on the spot, while another one, Ibrahim was injured,” the officials said, adding that the bodies and the injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital, Mangalwar.
Meanwhile, a woman died and three others sustained critical injuries when a van fell into a ravine on the Khatak Sar Road in Bisham area of Shangla district.
Rescue 1122 spokesperson Rasool Khan Sharif told Dawn that a van carrying passengers from Bisham city to high-altitude Khatak Sar fell into a ravine in Shaw area. An elderly woman died on the spot, he added.
He said the van driver, Mohammad Sherin, was among the three persons injured. The rescue spokesperson said the injured had been shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Bisham. — Dawn Report
