KARACHI: A young man was found shot dead in Surjani Town on Tuesday, police said.

The trussed-up body was found in a desolated area in Sector 14-C. The man was shot in an eye and the chest.`From his appearance, the deceased looked like a Taliban [militant], as he sported a long beard,` said Surjani Town SHO Naveed Nasir.

Surjani Town is one of the areas in the metropolis where bodies of `missing` persons have of ten been found.

The body was moved to theAbbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Later, it was shifted to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth fora want of identification.

Young Afghan shot dead A young man was shot dead in Sohrab Goth on Tuesday, police said.They said that Kareem Alam, 28, was sitting at an eatery near Al-Asif Square when assailants targeted him.

The police suspected some personal enmity as a likely motive for the murder.

The victim, an Afghan national, used to sell shampoo in the area.
