ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has launched a Curriculum for Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) for out of school children.

It was launched by Minister for Education Balighur Rehman Thursday night and a press release was issued on Friday.

It said the programme caters to those children who have surpassed primary school going age and have missed on their early education due to financial constraints, religious and ethnic compulsions, poor results and physical and mental challenges.

`It is difficult for older children who have missed out on early years of schooling to adjust in a conventional classroom environment,`the minister said.-A Reponer
