KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Friday claimed to have seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition linked with Muttahida QaumiMovement-London. The weapons were to be used to carry out acts of terrorism and targeted killings in the metropolis, according to the force`s spokesperson.
Acting on `credible information,` the paramilitary force conducted a raid on an empty plot in Musharraf Colony and seized the arms and ammunition.
The spokesperson claimed they had received information that some elements associated with MQM-L had hidden the arms there.
Meanwhile, the decomposed body of an eightyear-old boy was found at a desolate place on the outskirts of the city onFriday, police said.
They said that the body was found in bushes within the remit of the SITE Superhighway Industrial Area police station.
Area SHO Anar Khan said that it appeared that the boy, who remained unidentified till late in the night, was kidnapped and murdered.
The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Doctors at the health facility reserved the cause of death and sent samples for a chemical examination. Samples were also taken for conducting a DNA test for identification.
