By Our Correspondent 2017-05-06
SHANGLA: PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Amir Muqam said on Friday that the provincial government had failed to carry out any major development project during last four years.

He said this while addressing a public meeting here at his native Puran town after inaugurating 132KV grid station. Later, he also inaugurated a feeder in Kotkay grid station.

Mr Muqam said that the PTI-led provincial government had snatched powers from the local governments and elected councillors and they were kept deprived of development funds. He said that councillors all over the province were facing problems.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had been raising slogans of account ability, but had made their own Ehtesab commission in KP a toothless body. He said that PTI chief Imran Khan had deceived the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through his slogan of change.

He said that Mr Khan had used the people for attainment of his personal motives. He claimed that people would not vote for PTI in next general elections. About demand for resignation of the prime minister in Panama Papers case, he said that no one could de-seat Nawaz Sharif through undemocratic measures.

The PML-N leader said that the PTI-ledgovernment`s LG system had collapsed. He said that after exclusion of five departments, the provincial government was now planning to keep the C&W department out of the nazims` authority. He said that Mr Khan and his party loved sit-in protests and rallies and had no interest in resolution of people`s problems. He said that people wanted development and could not be deceived through hol-low slogans.

Mr Muqam thanked the people of Shangla for supporting him and held out an assurance that he would resolve the problems being faced by them. He said that PML-N would give importance to the development of Malakand division. He said that because of his efforts almost all the areas of Shangla were getting smooth supply of electricity.
