RAWALPINDI: Punjab Minister for Literacy and Informal Education Raja Rashid Hafeez on Sunday directed for the out-of-order dialysis machine at Holy Family Hospital (HFH) to be replaced, and for the conference hall to be vacated for new machinery.
During a visit to the hospital, he said that provincial ministers would soon donate new machinery to the urology department in collaboration with philanthropists.
Mr Hafeez expressed dissatisfaction with the out-oforder hospital equipment and the shortage of lifesaving drugs.
He said MRI and CT machines and lifesaving drugs should be ensured at the hospital as the government wants to provide patients will all healthcare facilities.
He also asked medical superintendent Dr Nasir Mehmood to install a biometric system for the attendance of hospital employees, and inspected the hospital`s sanitation.
Dr Mehmood told the minister that five new dialysis machines will be installed at the hospital within a month, and 18 machines are operational at present.
He said there is a shortage of four injections isocate, labetalol, lapresso and isoptin which are not available in the market. Staff Reporter
