PESHAWAR: MOL Pakistan Oil & Gas Company B.V has clarified a news item published in this newspaper on April 30 regarding substandard worl( on a road in Kohat, saying that company is in close coordination with the stakeholders and is fully committed to the appropriate utilisation ofthefunds provided byitforrenovation of the road in question.

The firm clarified that it was not directly associated with the construction or renovation of the road, according to a statement issued here.

It said that `MOL Pakistan, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, was committed to providing Rs32 million for the renovation of the Ghurzandi Road which connects Lachi tehsil of Kohat to Maramzai-2 Well`.

The statement further said the purpose of the provision was to facilitate the commuters of Darmalak and adjoining villages. The company reiterated that it would continue its efforts for betterment of local communities in its operational areas through its extensive CSR initiatives.
