Mashal murder case challan submitted

MARDAN: Police officials here on Monday submitted a complete challan of the lynching of Mashal Khan, a student of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, in the office of the district public prosecutor.

Earlier, an interim challan was submitted on May 15, 2017.

Sources said the district public prosecutor Mardan would now submit the challan in the relevant anti-terrorist court.

The police had arrested 57 out of total 60 nominated suspects in the lynching case of Mashal Khan, whereas three of the accused nominated in the FIR are still at large.

The absconding accused are PTI tehsil councillor Mohammad Arif Khan, Sabir Mayar, president of Pakhtun Students Federation, varsity chapter, and Asad, an employee of the university.

Police officials claimed that they expected a breakthrough in arrest of the three absconders.
