He said the people of Fata were well aware of the delaying tactics, adding it was time the government implemented the reforms and remove the unrest among the people.
Sardar Khan, who is also JI Fata chapter leader, said the tribal people had already rejected the proposed Riwaj Act as they considered it another FCR.
The alliance chief demanded of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to play his role in convening a multi-party conference on the Fata reforms because the provincial government was also a 1(ey stakeholder.
Similarly, PTI leader Mohammad Iqbal Afridi said the people of Fata would start an agitation campaign in case of any attempt to delay the reforms any further.
Abdul Lateef Afridi Advocate said it was time the FCR was scrapped once and for all. He said the availability of justice was a difficult task for the people of tribal regions and they expected the government to extend jurisdictions of apex courts to the region to enable them to get easy justice at their doorsteps.
He said there was no difference between FCR and Riwaj Act and thus the people were not ready to accept it. Bureau Report
