A GLOBAL news channel showed a documentary recently in which a vehicle fitted with an Internet tracking device was accessed through software by a laptop.
The operators tookfulleontrolofthe vehicle,includingitsventilation,speed and fuel supply from an unknown location.
They were controlling everything and eventually cut off its fuel supply forcing the vehicle to a stop.The US government is enacting a law to declare this activity a criminal offence and the automobile industry is working to circumvent this danger.
I feel it is a matter of time before this software will be pirated to Pakistan. The misuse that will follow is imaginable. Car owners are well advised to reconsider installation of such Internet tracking devices because they do not deter car thieves one bit.
