Wrong policies blamed for country`s decline

SUKKUR: It is due to negligence of rulers and their wrong policies that Pakistan has been accused of supporting militancy, though the country has been fighting for many years against terrorism.

It has also lost the confidence of friendly countries as foreign investment in Pakistan has reduced up to 50 per cent during the past four years.

This was stated by Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah while addressing a ground-breaking ceremony held on Tuesday for building a four-lane road at Ali Wahan near Rohri and later talking to reporters.

There was also a sharp decline in remittances from overseas Pakistanis, he said. It was also because of wrong policies of the government that at least 100,000 Pakistanis working abroad had to return home, he added.
