WORKING COUNTERS: The Awami Markaz branch of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) is a busy place visited by thousands of people every day. And, yet, there is only one counter that issues tokens and entertains public enquiries. The queues are endless. The government and Nadra management should facilitate the process by establishing more working counters.

Food wastage has serious economic, social and environmental consequences. To address the issue, it is important to raise awareness about food wastage and promote sustainable food practices, such as reducing food wastage at home, donating excess food to those in need, and supporting local food systems. The government should develop and implement programmes that address the root causes of food wastage, and promote sustainable food systems.
