LARKANA: A rape suspect was arrested after he was named in the FIR lodged by the victim`s father at the Gaji Khuhawar police station of Qambar-Shahdadkot district on Tuesday.

The complainant had claimed that his 10-year-old daughter was washing clothes on the bank of an irrigation channel in Sattur Phulpoto village. He said when he and his brother went to the spot, they heard his daughter`s screams and rushed to her rescue. Upon seeing them, the suspect took to his toes, he said, adding that the girl in a serious condition was taken to a major hospital for treatment.-Correspondent
