CM pays surprise visit to hospital, doctors found absent suspended

QUETTA: The Balochistan`s secretary of health suspended on Monday a number of doctors and other members of medical staff of civil hospital Quetta for being absent from duties.
The chief minister paid a surprise visit to the hospital and found several doctors and other members of the medical staff absent from their duty. He issued directives for the secretary to suspend all absentee members of the staff and take action against them according to rules.
Malik Baloch was accompanied by provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Secretary Health Noorul Haq Baloch, Principle Secretary to CM Nasim Lehri and other senior officials.
The chief minister expressed resentment over non-availability of medicines for the treatment of hepatitis. He directed the secretary health to make a plan for the availability of all necessary medicines, equipment and other facilities in the hospital. He also called for a plan for the training of doctors and other health professionals.
The chief minister visited different sections of the hospital.
