By A Reporter 2015-10-06
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has decided to provide missing facilities to 21 schools of federal capital, besides introducing biometric attendance system.

Additional secretary CADD, Qaiser Majid Malik, who heads the committee on the FDE schools, said that visible changes would be brought in the Islamabad-based educational institutions.

Sources said that the prime minister office is directly monitoring the performance of the FDE run educational institutions.

`Recently, MNAs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Marriyum Aurangzeb of the PML-N made a surprise visit to different schools and expressed their displeasure over their performance,` said an official of the FDE. He said that Maryam Nawaz had also shown interest in improving the condition of the Islamabad educational institutions.

In a reaction to the government decision to bar the private schools from increasing the fee, the (private schools) owners, through a newspaper advertisement, criticised the quality of education in public schools which forced the parents to turn to private schools.

The FDE officials said that the prime minister office had sought a presentation from the FDE on the public sector schools.

`Yes, we are going to give a presentation to the prime minister office,` said Secretary CA DD, Khalid Hanif.

`Initially we made a plan to provide all the missing facilities to 21 schools, besides introducing biometric attendance system,` he said.
