KARACHI: Attackers threw a cracker at an office of the Counter-Terrorism Department in a Malir locality on Thursday evening, causing injuries to two passers-by, police said.

They said that two men riding a motorcycle threw the cracker at the main gate of the CTD office situated in the old building of the Saudabad police station near Kala Board.

Hiza Agil, 11, and Mahim, 12, who were travelling in a rickshaw with their family, sustained minor injuries due to the explosion, they added.

Earlier in the day, CTD SSP Junaid Ahmed Shaikh announced the arrest of some suspected hitmen at a press conference held at the same office.
