KARACHI: Poet and writer Dr Shadab Ehsani has been appointed secretary of the Pakistan Writers` Guild (PWG) Sindh cabinet.

Other representatives included Tajdar Adil, Dr Iqbal Pirzada, Rashid Noor, Rehana Roohi, Zafar Moeen Ballay Jafferi, Salman Siddiqui, Aftab Alam Qureshi, Nadeem Hashmi, Jalil Hashmi and Naghmana Shaikh.

PWG secretary general Naseem Durrani announced the new Sindh cabinet at a special meeting of the literary body held recently, according to a press release.

Applauding the decision, different literary personalities expressed the hope that the new cabinet would promote the cause of Urdu under the leadership of Dr Shadab.
