LOWER DIR: Police during the last month arrested 19 proclaimed offenders and 34 drug peddlers with recovery of more than 20 kilograms of hashish from their possession. Police also recovered Rs 4.26 million stolen money.

During various operations in the month of October, police arrested 380 accused wanted in various cases,19proclaimedoffenders, 34 drug pushers and recovered 20,662 grams ofhashish, 390 grams of heroin, and 294 grams of ice from their possession.

Police also recovered five Kalashnikov, one rifle, two guns, 44 pistol, 625 cartridges and registered cases against them. Police also foiled timber smuggling bids and recovered 30 timber cut logs and 17 wooden logs were and banded over to the same to forest department for legal action. Correspondent
