Excessive billing

2013-12-06
I, WITH my family, went to my native town in June for a few weeks, and my residence in Karachi remained closed.

However, my electricity bill (Acc. no: 0400003913676)for June showed 250 units against 180 consumed units and `ASSD` was written against the bill charge mode on the ground that the meter was at a dead stop at the time of reading.

Thereafter, I met the billing officer and submitted documentary evidence with an application about my house remaining closed for several weeks.

Thus, the matter was settled. But, the bill for November has shown arrears (over Rs5,000) for June 2013.

I again visited the KESC billing office and informed them about my previous application.

However, instead of addressing the issue, the data processing officer amended it to installments and asked me to pay it at the earliest or in case of non-payment my power connection would be cut off.
