ISLAMABAD: The Directorate of Training and Research (Customs), Islamabad, and Model Customs Collectorate, Gilgit-Baltistan, organised a fiveday training programme for awareness and professional capacity building of educated youth of Gilgit-Baltistan in collaboration with Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP).
The main aim of the programme was to create awareness and tap the skill potential of the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan.
A large number of participants from various sections of life par-ticipated in the capacity building programme, said a press release issued here.
During his welcome remarks, Attaullah stated that AKRSP was working for over three decades to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral.
He said AKRSP intended to promote employable skills and selfemployment opportunities for the youth by preparing them for various business avenues likely to hit the market after China Pakistan Economic Corridor becomes operational.-A Reporter
