PESHAWAR: Three persons were killed for honour in Mashokhel village on the outskirts of the provincial capital in the wee hours on Tuesday.

An official at the Badhbar police station told Dawn that a woman lodged FIR of the incident, saying that she and her husband were at home when a man scaled the boundary wall of their house, went into the room of the sister of her husband and then locked the door behind.

The woman said that when her husband tried to open the door, the man inside opened firing, seriously injuring her husband. She said that her husband also retaliated, killing the attacker and his sister as well.

The police official said that the woman`s husband, who had received several bullets, also died later on. Bureau Report
